1. Freedom of movement. The passport of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis gives the holder visa-free access to 156 states and territories around the world. With it, one can freely visit the UK, EU, Hong Kong, Russia and Singapore without visas. Although St. Kitts does not have visa-free travel with the United States and Canada, passport holders can obtain a ten-year visa to these countries.

2. Tax haven. Many investors choose tax residency in St. Kitts and Nevis to secure and grow their financial wealth. The island nation's tax regime is another advantage of St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship, as it is one of the best in the world, just look at the rates:

  • Spouse.
  • Children under the age of 30 (if they are financially dependent on the applicant).
  • Siblings under the age of 30 and financially dependent on the applicant.
  • Grandparents of both the primary applicant and spouse/and age 55 or older.

If you wish, you can add the entire family in one application and they can all obtain St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship for one financial investment.

Citizenship for a family of four can now be obtained for the same amount as a passport for one — by contributing $150,000 to a government fund. This discount is valid until December 31, 2022.

Investing in real estate

Real estate has always been one of the best investment options. The government of St. Kitts and Nevis has taken this into consideration and added such an option to the investment citizenship program.

In this case, you have to buy a property or a unit in an approved five-star resort for $200,000 to get citizenship

The three main advantages of this option are:

  • You can sell the property after five years and recoup the money you spent, while keeping the passport you managed to buy.
  • You can make a profit by renting out your property. Or earn income from your share of the resort. 10.8% of St. Kitts and Nevis' GDP is provided by tourism. In 2019 alone, 1.2 million tourists visited the country.
  • This option is best suited for large families — the amount of investment in real estate is unchanged, only additional fees increase.

I renounced my US citizenship on February 4, 2014. Now I am a citizen of the wonderful country of St. Kitts and Nevis. Everything worked out well for me (paperwork - ed.). It was fast, cheap and reliable.

I live here for a few months a year and then I go to other countries to promote economic freedom in the world using bitcoin cachet.

No personal or income tax or income on the sale of real estate staples here. You don't even have to fill out a tax return for a tax refund at the end of the year. Also, there are a lot of libertarians here to talk to. And they are all smart people with interesting ideas.

St. Kitts has given me the opportunity to travel to all of Europe, most of South America, and virtually all of Asia without any visa. So it really is a fantastic passport!

Fees and expenses

St. Kitts and Nevis for investment is popular not only because of its quick and easy processing, but also because of its reasonable prices.

The main costs are the investment itself: a non-refundable fee or the purchase of real estate. Additionally, you have to pay due diligence fees, application fees, and processing fees.

The due diligence fee is $7,500 for the primary applicant and $4,000 for each additional person on the application who is 16 years of age or older.

The application fee is $250 for each person on the application.

For the endowment option, the investment amount starts at $150,000 as mentioned earlier. The fee increases depending on the number of people in the application. For a family of four, the amount would be $195,000. For each additional financially dependent person included in the application, you need to pay an additional $10,000, and in case they are brothers or sisters of the applicant - $20,000 each.

When investing in real estate, the amount is $200,000. It does not change with the addition of family members to the application, making this a great option for larger families. However, additional government fees must be paid in this option:

  • $35,000 for the primary applicant.
  • $20,000 for the spouse
  • $10,000 for each additional dependent.
