Grenada’s passport has been long dubbed the business passport due to its visa-free access to global business hubs such as the UK, China, Russia, and EU. This makes the Grenadian passport an excellent mobility document for international businessmen who are looking to travel the globe freely and without constraint.

The interesting thing, as you can see in the tables above, is that the Grenada passport offers complete visa-free access to the UK, and, Grenada being a commonwealth country, the passport allows its holder to stay up to six months or 180 days at a time in the UK before having to leave.

Some countries, such as China, offer visa-free access to Grenadian citizens for 30 days, while others such as Cuba go above the 45 days mark reaching 60 days (2 months) of unhindered visa-free access.

Grenada citizenship holders can also access the members of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States without the need for a visa by using their ID card and can stay indefinitely within member states such as St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, Anguilla, and more.

World map with highlighted countries

The world map below highlights the Grenada passport visa free countries which a passport holder can access visa-free, and as you can see the bulk are concentrated in Europe, East Asia, and South America; all booming business hubs.

The Grenada passport truly covers the globe, and even for countries that do not grant holders of the Grenada passport visa-free access such as the USA and Canada, Grenadian citizens are able to apply for long-term multiple-entry visas for up to ten years.

Entry regulations to Europe

Grenada citizens can travel visa-free to the majority of Europe, with no requirements whatsoever to enter countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others. Most of the countries in Europe offer Grenada citizens up to 90 days visa free within any 180 day period, meaning, theoretically, that Grenada citizens can spend up to half of their time in Europe.

As for the EU, it is also under the visa-free listing, and the European Union allows holders of the passport of Grenada to stay up to 3 months or 90 days within its borders. In 2022, however, the EU will require all nationals of countries that enjoy visa-free access into the union to apply through the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) in order to travel to the Schengen Area. An ETIAS application, however, is nothing like a visa and is a 10-minute application that gives applicants permission to travel within minutes. It is valid for 3 years or the validity of the passport, whichever comes first. This maintains the safety of travelers and allows them to continue enjoying visa-free travel to the EU indefinitely.

To apply for a USA B1 (business) or B2 (tourism) visit visa the citizens of Grenada can book an appointment in the US embassy in Bridgetown Wildey Business Park 14006, Barbados. E2 visa

One of the greatest strengths of the Grenada passport is that is allows its holder to apply for a USA E2 visa under the E2 treaty. Only a handful of nationalities around the globe can apply for an E2, and while some only get a two-year single-entry E2 visa, Grenadian citizens get a five-year multiple-entry E2.

The US E2 visa is a non-immigrant business visa that allows its holder to reside and work anywhere in the United States of America. This is a great pathway for business people to enter the US and gain the advantage of its booming marketplace. Many nationalities who are not eligible for the E2 under the treaty obtain Grenadian citizenship by investment in order to apply for the E2. The popularity of the E2 visa stems from its simplicity, it not having a minimum investment amount, and the fact that it has very quick processing times compared to other US residency cards.

While there is no visa free travel for Grenada citizens to the USA, they are part of a select few who have a direct route to residing in it.
